Welcome to First Grade!
I have been teaching (30+)years in 1st grade all here at Buffalo Gap. I still find first graders fascinating! I am excited about the upcoming school year and look forward to working with your child. We are planning to work hard, learn a great deal and have fun in the process.
As you well know the first grade year is the foundation of your child’s education. Therefore, it is very important that our emphasis be on reading and mathematics. This will take cooperation on all our parts. I will have high expectations for your child. It's exciting to watch them as they bloom into READERS for life!
Let’s make this year a productive, fun-filled one by working closely together. My conference time is 9:30-10:15 daily.
