Business Computer Information Systems
BCIS is the study of computer terminology, hardware, software, operating systems, and information systems relating to the business environment. The main focus of this course is on business software such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation graphics, and business-oriented utilization of the Internet.

SOFTWARE used this year will include: Word, Publisher, Photoshop, Excel, Access and PowerPoint and if time permits, Movie Maker, Photo Story 3, Flash and Fireworks.
ASSIGNMENTS
Assignments are generally completed in class. Homework is rarely assigned, but it will be the student's responsibility to come in during tutorials to complete assignments that are not finished in class.

WORD DRAWING TOOLS ASSIGNMENT
Using Word's drawing tool bar, design the outside of a house. This may be your own home, an original design or house from the internet. Use 3-d effects and include the yard, sky and any other elements that make your house look authentic. You may use clip art, but very sparingly - only as accents.
