PRINIT - Principles of Information Technology

PRINIT is the study of computer terminology, hardware, software, operating systems, and information systems relating to the business environment. The main focus of this course is on business software such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation graphics, and business-oriented utilization of the Internet.

SOFTWARE used this year will include: Word 2007, Publisher 2007, Photoshop, Excel 2007, Access 2007 and PowerPoint 2007 and if time permits, Movie Maker, Photo Story 3, Flash and Fireworks.  Students will also be introduced to Windows 7 OPERATING SYSTEM.

ASSIGNMENTS are generally completed in class. Homework is rarely assigned, but it will be the student's responsibility to come in during tutorials to complete assignments that are not finished in class.

DISCIPLINE: I will follow Jim Ned High School's Discipline Plan as it is laid out in the student handbook: 
    1.  Verbal Warning
    2.  Change Seating 
    3.  Call Parent
    4.  Teacher Detention
    5.  Office Referral
