The information on this tab is intended to give students and parents a general timeline of events that occur each year in NHS. The sponsor will communicate specific information during each school year.
New Members
- March: Students with a 92.5 or greater weighted GPA will be informed that they are eligible to apply for membership to the local NHS chapter.
- April: Students will submit applications that include information about their accomplishments in the areas of scholarship, character, leadership, and service.
- April-May: Students selected by majority vote of the faculty council will be inducted at a special ceremony.
Existing Members
- August: Election of annual student officers.
- Fall Semester: Regular NHS meeting.
- January, May: GPA checks performed.
- Spring Semester: Regular NHS meeting.
- April: Students submit logs to sponsor that verify that school year's community service and leadership activities.
