Culinary Arts

Students will learn about famous chefs, historical and current trends, teamwork, communication, equipment, sanitation, laws and regulations, pricing, soups and sauces, baking techniques, breads, global foods, technology in the kitchen, and various aspects of the business through friendly competitions and classwork. This is a professional class, so students are expected to participate and perform appropriately. Many future employment skills will be addressed. This course is part of the Hospitality and Tourism Career Cluster.
