Homework
Please see that your child reads each night for at least 15-20 minutes.  If you have a struggling reader, the more they read, the better, and it's best for them to read ALOUD to someone.  That way you can ask questions about the story or correct a word they may have pronounced incorrectly. We also encourage parents to read TO your child.  Higher leveled books broaden their vocabulary, and our goal is for our kiddos grow to love books.  So if they choose a book that's too difficult for them to read, please don't hesitate to read it to them-they can absolutely take AR tests on books you read to them!

Spelling words are sent home each Monday in the "Teacher-Parent Communicator" folder.  Don't forget www.spellingcity.com for fun games to play with our new words for the week.
