AP Biology

Below you will find a basic overview of class and grading policies.  A more thorough handout will be given to students in class.

Course Weighting:  Homework - 5%

                                Labs and Quizzes - 35%

                                Exams - 60%

  • Assignments should be turned in on the due date.
  • Late assignments are not accepted.
  • Homework cannot be redone.
  • No retakes on quizzes or tests.

Criteria to enter and/or remain in advanced courses:  students must maintain a 75 average (not including the 10%).  A student may be moved from an advanced to a regular course if deemed beneficial to the student by the teacher and their grades fall below advanced level expectations.  In order to progress to the next associated advanced course, the student must achieve an 80 final annual average (not including the 10%). For additional information on class rank and weighted courses, see Jim Ned Student Handbook.
