Checkout Policy
* 3 books per student, checked out for 3 weeks at a time.
* Students who have current charges for lost books may only check out one book at a time.

Accelerated Reader (Renaissance Learning)
JNIS encourages reading with the Accelerated Reader program.  We now have access to over 180,000 quizzes from Renaissance Learning (AR).

Use the catalog to search the JNIS library for specific titles, authors or subjects.  Login using your student email as your username and your 6 digit number as your password.  After login, you will be able to create permanent lists, place holds, check out eBooks, or look up your library record for current checkouts, fines and overdues.

We currently have over 325 eBooks in the JNIS library, as well as approximately 30 audiobooks.  Many of these are for students doing research, but we also have some classics and current titles for pleasure reading.  These are all available for check-out by students and teachers.


1.  If you plan to download a book to your mobile device, you must have the free Follett Destiny Read app, available from the App store or Google Play.


2.  Login to Destiny Discover using your 6-digit student number as both user name and password.  Scroll down to the eBooks and Audiobooks ribbons, where you can browse titles.


3.  Click on the title of your choice.  Then you can read online or check out and download to your mobile device (with the free Follett Destiny Read app).


eBooks and audiobooks will be returned automatically at the end of the circulation period.
