Military Family Campus Liaison-District Role Description 

• Serves as the point of contact and works collaboratively between military-connected students and their families and the campus staff.

• Maintains familiarity with enrollment processes, records transfer, use of the military student identifier (MSI), existing community resources, and student support.

• Ensures the use of the military student identifier (MSI) to identify and properly coded through the Texas Student Data System Public Education Information Management System (TSDS PEIMS).

• Establishes and coordinates campus- based supports and services to advocate for highly mobile military-connected students based on their unique needs.

• Assists in coordinating a campus transition program and peer-led student program relevant to military- connected students.

• Attends professional development or training annually to learn and understand topics related to the transition of military-connected students and their families.

• Works with PEIMS office to identify and update rosters to accurately record the military-connected students

• Met with teachers and staff to identify military-connected students in each grade level and classes

• Spoke to the school board about  and being more military-focused and working to become a TEA Purple Star Campus
