Course Description:
Financial Mathematics is a course about personal money management. Students will apply critical-thinking skills to analyze personal financial decisions based on current and projected economic factors.
Grading Policy:
There will be a minimum of 12 assignments per 6 weeks grading period. This will include daily work and tests. Daily Work will count 60%, while Tests will count 40%. Late work will be accepted for a maximum of half credit, but no later than a week after the initial due date. This does not include work missed from excused absences. Work missed due to excused absences can be completed with no penalty within the same number of days the student was absent.
Required Materials:
Each student will be expected to bring a writing utensil and a notebook to class daily. Calculators will be provided during class time ONLY (not a full class set of calculators). Each student will also be provided access to our textbook online.
Tutorials:
Tutorial times will be Monday thru Friday 7:40-8:05. The classroom will also be open during lunch for tutorials from 12:31-1:01 everyday.
