Spelling Ideas:

1. Use refrigerator magnets to spell the words.
2. Use wicky sticks to make each letter of each word.
3. Write the words in flour or sand.
4. Categorize the first ten words that follow the pattern for the week. (Example: Put all the a words in a column and put all the e words in a column. etc.)
5. Write the words Rainbow style-write the word with one color and then write it again with another color on top of the last color and repeat.
6. Have your child say each letter of the word as they write it.
7. Take each word and divide it into chunks. For example cat would be c-a-t and boat would be b-oa-t.
