Education:
I grew up in Marfa, Texas and attended college at Angelo State University and Sul Ross State University.  I obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and English and Master of Education Degree in Counseling.  I also recently obtained my principal certification.
Family:
I have been blessed to live in the Jim Ned community for 21 years!  I have two children who are proud to be Jim Ned Indians!  My son Joey (Jim Ned class of 2011) earned his bachelor's degree and master's degree from Texas A&M University, and he is now employed with ExxonMobil in Beaumont, Texas.  My daughter Megan (Jim Ned class of 2015) is in her third year at Abilene Christian University.  She is planning to become a bilingual speech pathologist. 
Hobbies:  
Since my children are grown now, I have found time to enjoy a variety of hobbies including kickboxing, yoga, reading, and travel.  I also enjoy my church activities and spending time with family and friends.
Work History:
This is my seventh year at Jim Ned Middle School. Before coming to the middle school, I was the counselor at Buffalo Gap Elementary for five years. Prior to that, I worked as a special education counselor/behavior consultant with Taylor-Callahan Education Cooperative for five years. My other teaching experience includes:

high school English - Van Horn, Texas; grades 6-12 alternative school - Van Horn, Texas
kindergarten - Cornerstone Christian School, Abilene, Texas
