My name is Kim Ewing. This will be my second year to be the computer teacher at Buffalo Gap. I am starting my 19th year in education and 8th year at Buffalo Gap. I am so excited for this year.
We will be learning many things this year. Here are a few things that will give you an idea of what we will be doing in class. We will be learning how to login to the computers, letters and numbers, keyboarding, the different Google programs and lots more.
We will have competitions, team building, and quiet learning time. We will be doing lessons from Learning.com, learning how to code, and many other things . I have some projects planned. Please know that I will not send anything home for them to work on. We will do it all in class.
I love to give students self affirmations to start their day. Your student may be coming home saying "I am brave, I am smart, I am loved and I can do hard things." I firmly believe that speaking truth to them and them repeating it back, makes them have a wonderful start to their day and help them throughout the day.
Here is a little about me:
I have been married to the love of my life Clay Ewing for 23 years. We have raised two amazing sons. Our oldest is Hunter 26, a Jim Ned Alumni class of 2016 , he lives and works in San Antonio. Our youngest is Austin, Jim Ned Alumni class of 2021, 21 years old, he lives and works in College Station. We love to travel and visit the kids and grand-dogs.
My hobbies are anything outdoors and baseball.
