COURSE OBJECTIVES:

GRADING:


1. Daily Grades and Quizzes count 70%. Tests count 30%. 
2. Assignments should be turned in by the tardy bell on the due date. Late papers are usually not accepted. IF late work is accepted, 30 points will be deducted for each day it is late. 
3. Cheating/copying is UNACCEPTABLE.Zeros will be given. 
4. Progress reports will be sent at the beginnig of the 4th week to those students that have a 75 average or below. 

EXTRA OPPORTUNTIES:
 

1.  Tutorial time is from 7:55-8:20am every morning.  Arrangements can be made to come in during lunch time but those must be made by the student.  
2.  TESTING: Anytime a major test is taken the student will have the opportunity to correct their test using their textbook and notes. The corrections will count for half credit and that total number of points will be added to the test grade. Example: Make a 70 on a test there are 15 points of correction credit available. Do all of them and get them correct new test grade is 85. 

EXPECTATIONS:
 

1. Bring materials for class EVERYDAY. I don not loan paper, pen, pencil, or books out to you nor will I waste class time waiting for you to get these materials. 
2. You will also need map pencils and a folder.  Keep your papers in your folder not your book.   
3. Make up work is the STUDENT'S RESPONSIBILITY. If you do not get your make up work and complete it by the due date established zeros will be given. 
4. If you know you are going to be absent,(school sponsored activity, doctor's appointment, ect) plan ahead and get the work you will miss BEFORE you go. 
5. Caps, hats, food, drinks, should not be brought to the class. 
6. DO NOT ASK to leave the room. The passing period is the time to get a drink, use the restroom, make phone calls, ect. 


REQUIRED SUPPLIES:

3 Ring binder with dividers (Notes, Tests, Vocabulary, Misc)
Map Colors
High Lighter
Paper
Pen or Pencil- any color is fine except invisible ink

CLASS RULES:

1.  Be on time- In your seat when the tardy bell rings
2.  Be Quiet- No talking after the tardy bell
3.  Be Nice- If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything
