5th Grade Policies

Take Home Folder Folders will be sent home every Tuesday. The folder will include graded papers (which need to be taken out and looked over by the guardian) and any important handouts from the school or from the 5th grade teachers. 

Homework

Homework consists of unfinished assignments and studying for tests. Students will be given time in class and a built-in tutorial period everyday to work on assignments. Please make sure your STUDENT completes their unfinished assignments and turns them in when they are due.   

Grading Policy  

Daily grades will count as 60% and Tests will be 40%. 

Late Work Policy

Missing assignments will result in classroom economy fine, missing recesses, lunch detention, etc. If this becomes a habitual problem, this will result in a parent conference.

Corrections Policy

Students will be allowed to correct or retake tests (teacher discretion), but daily grades will be on an as needed basis. 

Students will have ONE week to turn in test corrections or retake a test. Once the week is up, the grade will remain the same.
