Late Work/Corrections/Absent Work
**Students can correct any failing test/quiz grade and raise that grade to a passing grade of 70. They will have up until the date that we take the next test to do corrections. No corrections for daily assignments or extra credit will be given.
**Late work: If an assignment is turned in 1 day late the highest possible grade will be an 85, 2 days late: a 70, 3 or more days late will automatically be recorded as a zero.
**It is the responsibility of the student to get all work due for a school absence and complete it in a timely fashion. Students will have as many days as they were absent to complete missing work. Missing work that is not turned in is averaged as a zero. Daily recordings of lessons will be posted on Google Classroom.
Tutorials
Students are encouraged to take advantage of my tutorials to make up tests, catch up on missing assignments, complete corrections, or to ask questions. Tutorials are in the morning Tuesday-Friday from 7:45am-8:10am, unless I am unavailable due to a morning practice in which case a student may go to Mr. Harrell for help.

Course Description
7th grade Advanced Math is a more rigorous class with a heavier workload and a quicker pace than the 7th grade math class. We strongly suggest that to be in the advanced 7th grade class that the student achieved at least an 88 average in 6thth grade math and/or a teacher recommendation. In the 7th grade advanced class students will be learning a combination of the 7th grade and 8th grade math curriculum and TEKS. To maintain placement in 7th grade Advanced Math, a student must maintain an 85 average or higher. If the student’s average falls below 85 at the first 6 weeks progress report time, a discussion with the student or a parent conference needs to occur to maintain placement in the advanced math class. A schedule change may occur if deemed most appropriate for the student. A student is encouraged to work hard and remain in an advanced class after registration, however if needed a student may request a schedule change to the 7th grade math class within the first six weeks. A link for both the 7th and 8th grade online textbooks can be found on ClassLink.
