Debbie Cook

Mathematics Instructor / UIL Coach / UIL Coordinator

Hi! I'm Debbie Cook and I teach Pre-AP Geometry, precalculus, Pre-AP Precalculus, Pre-AP Algebra II and AP Calculus. I will be starting my 44th year of teaching this year (28th at Jim Ned) having previously taught at Lubbock High School, Dumas Junior High, Strawn ISD, Panther Creek ISD, Coleman Junior High, and Ira ISD. Raised in Spearman, Texas, I graduated from Texas Tech University (4.0 GPA) with a degree in mathematics with minors in English and computer information systems. I have also completed graduate work at Texas Tech and Tarleton State University. I have enjoyed coaching students in UIL academics (math, calculator, computer science, current events, ready writing) and making it to the state competition in Austin each year!
