Abilene Christian University Marriage and Family Institute

The mission of the marriage and Family Institute is to provide a clinical setting in which Marriage and Family Therapy interns can develop clinical skills and to serve the people of the greater Abilene area by offering individual, marriage and family therapy. Services are provided under the supervision of licensed marriage and family therapist and are provided on a sliding fee scale, depending upon clients' yearly income. Hendrick Club Courage & Camp Courage

Club Courage is a six-week support group for children who are grieving either through the death of a loved one, divorce, separation, incarceration or deployment. The supportive environment helps each child develop healthy coping skills through a variety of grief exercises. The ultimate goal is to help build self confidence, trust and an understanding of the grief process. Children in kindergarten through 12th grade who are grieving through a loss are encouraged to participate. For more information call 325-677-8516.



New Horizons- Keeping Children First

New Horizons mission is to provide an environment where children, families and staff are able to heal and grow through caring relationships and unconditional love and acceptance. The S.T.A.R. National Hotlines

National Hopeline Network(1.800.SUICIDE) brings the tremendous knowledge, skill and resources of existing crisis centers under the safety net of a single, easy-to-remember, toll-free number. People in crisis generally don't have the energy or ability to take on a long search for help. The Hopeline Network helps make appropriate, critical services available to all.

Texas Hotlines

Texas Youth Hotline The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services initiated the Texas Youth Hotline. The Texas Youth Hotline and the agency's Texas Runaway Hotline are answered 24-hours a day and provide preventive services to callers who are in need of a caring voice and a listening ear.

Local Agencies

Noah Project (1.800.444.3551) is a center for victims of family violence. Their mission is advocating for victims and working to end family violence. If you or someone you know is being hurt by family violence, Noah Project can help.

Shades of Hope

Shades of Hope is an all-addiction treatment center located in Buffalo Gap specializing in intensive eating disorders. The mission of Shades of Hope is to provide a residential treatment center where individuals can come to reclaim their freedom in a loving and non-shaming environment. 1-800-588-4673. 

Acadia Healthcare of Abilene

Acadia provides premier psychiatric and chemical dependency services to its patients in a variety of settings, including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment centers and outpatient clinics and therapeutic school based programs. 1-800-335-3498.
