Theater Arts

This is both an academic & performing class.  We will be learning vocabulary, history and culture of Theatre, monologues, duets, improve, design, crew responsibilities, & other activities.

“Drama” Class Expectations:

• Demonstrate control of body so no one gets hurt.(hands/objects to self)
• Remain on task!
• Always try your best!
• Maintain concentration to stay on task.
• Audience etiquette: watch, listen, learn, & show RESPECT!

   Additional responsibilities:

• Come prepared for class everyday!!  Have your materials & be in seat when the bell rings
• Be courteous/polite to anyone & everyone in the classroom.  Think before you speak.  Would you want this said to you??? Keep your hands to yourself at all times.
• Be a respectful and attentive audience member.  We will clap when a performance has finished.  We will sit up & look at the performer. We will NOT distract the performer in ANY way.
• Clean up after yourself
• Be on time!

Supplies:

• Folder or Notebook with a place for notes, papers, etc.
• Pens and/or pencils, Paper
