Academic Integrity: Any student caught cheating will receive a grade of zero on the assignment, without opportunity to resubmit. Additional administrative disciplinary action may occur, per school policy.
Student Conduct: Students are to act in a way that allows all students to learn and the teacher to teach at all times. Students should be respectful and kind to all others in the room at all times. Please be familiar with the dress code. There will be no food and drinks in the classroom other than water. Students should leave all electrical devices turned off and put away in backpack/purse. The Jim Ned Middle School discipline plan is in the student code of conduct for you and your student to be familiar with. Students with IEPs will typically follow the below action plan if behavior becomes a barrier to learning:
- Teacher will meet with student to discuss behaviors and performance, as well as needed areas of improvement.
- Teacher will meet with student for a second time to discuss if accommodations/modifications are meeting the student needs.
- If problem persists, home and administration contact will be in an effort to bring positive resolution and get things back on track. Decision will be made to enforce a consequence which could include: in-school intervention, in-school suspension, detention, out-of-school suspension, class/schedule change, and/or other solutions as deemed appropriate and beneficial.
- All progressive action will be documented and maintained in the student file.
